Join us on Sunday, October 27th, for our Norton Wine and Food Pairing Event, a part of the Norton Network 2024 Wine Tour. With a rich history in American viticulture, Norton is well-suited for pairing with a variety of foods due to the robust flavor profile and well-balanced acidity. The event will spotlight the Norton wines crafted by our winemaker Chelsey Blevins paired with small bites curated by Sauce Catering.
The vertical tasting of Norton will include Fifty-Third Winery’s 2020 Extended Aged Norton, 2021 Norton Reserve, as well as our not yet bottled 2022 and 2023 Norton wines plus the 2017 Chelsey Extended Aging Port-Style wine. A special commemorative Norton Reidel wine glass will be yours to take home!
It will also be our pleasure to feature guest speakers and Norton grape authorities, Lucie Morton, Virginia’s pioneering viticulturist, and Fred Reno, Virginia Wine Association’s 2023 Wine Industry Person of the Year. They will provide insights into the Norton grape’s history and its role in the Virginia wine industry.
